COMPLETED Northants Marriage Look-up Request
« on: Tuesday 17 February 09 02:26 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for the details of a marriage between Hannah Gilbird and William Liner. I think it would be about 1830 and probably in Rothwell.

Thank-you
Brie

Hi Brie again  :)

Thanks for P.M.

Hope it goes well with your research.

I will see if I have any graves for the lineage

As to how to end the topic just put "COMPLETED" at the front of the
subject line after clicking the modify button on the right of your post .

Hi again Brie

Just checked all the Non-Conformists Gravestones I had for Rothwell.

No mention of the surname Liner on any.

Therefore more than likely all C Of E.

Thanks Sandy,

That is very interesting. I had always imagined them to be die-hard non-conformists. My grandmother was I believe brought up as a Congregationalist.

HI Brie again.

The Church Gravestones I looked at was the United Reformed Church previously
Congregationalist in Fox St, Rothwell.

My own family the Remmingtons and Woolston's also used the Church.

I have a copy of a transcript written by  Bryam City who listed them
awhile ago, you will find a copy in the N.R.O.

He says that the Churchyard opened in 1830, yet the first burial was in 1840.

Also no Register of Burials exist before 1881 etc.

HTH.
