Parrotts in Perry - COMPLETED
« on: Wednesday 18 February 09 19:46 GMT (UK) »
My 4xgreat grandfather was George Parrott born in Perry in about 1807.  In later years he lived in Stonely, Kimbolton.  For some of that time he lived next door to a Richard Parrott born about 1805 also in Perry.

I would really like to know how they are related.

Does anyone have a transcription of the Perry parish records they could check for me?

Many thanks
Amanda

According to www.genuki.com Perry was a hamlet of Gt Staughton, but there's no transcript listed as being available from Hunts FHS. However the parish register has been filmed by the LDS so is available to order and view at your nearest LDS Family History Centre, unless Huntingdon Records Office is closer

Thank you for that.  I'm only in Northants and a visit to Kimbolton and the surrounding area is long overdue so a trip to the Huntingdon Records Office it is then!!

Best wishes
Amanda

Have now been to the Huntingdon Records Office where they were wonderfully helpful and found everything I wanted to know - for now!!!  All the Parrotts from Perry appear to be related - in case anyone else was interested.  The records for Perry residents in the early 19th century are found in Graffham.
