HI has anyone come across an Arthur Walter Gibbs born in Edmonton middlesex born about 1862, father William  on their travels, would love any snippets that might be out there please and thanks, Damsel

Hello, Damsel in distress - do you have the Census entries for him ?

the only info I have for him is his name and decendants and that his father was William a solicitors clerk at present I had a pc crash some time ago and cant remember if I had anything further but I dont think I did I seem to remember getting stuck there so any info would be great thanks

couldnt see him in 1871 or 1881 last night, will have another look today - can you say if and when/where/to whom he married ?

.... and FreeBMD doesnt have a Birth Index entry for a Gibbs, middle name Walter - nor one at all for an Arthur in that Regn District (1858 - 1865)

Morning to you and thanks for the help , Arthur Walter Gibbs married Emily Hill , December 21st 1907 in the district of Reading, his father is named as William Gibbs deceased, a solicitors clerk, and thats where I have been stuck for a while, I found quite a bit on the Emily's mother's side the Goldfinches from Kent but nothing yet on her Dad's Hill family as hav'nt had the wherewithall to look and also this Gibbs seems to want to stay a mystery !!Damsel

If he cant be found in 1901, maybe the 1911 census will reveal a more defined PoB for him ?

I cant search it to the level of showing a PoB tho ....

major apologies I put Arthurs DOB on as 1862 and of course it should have been 1882 thanks for pointing that out to me Taid  so apologies to have you looking in the wrong place and wasting your time , Damsel
