Did they return to England? I had another look for William or Emma Herring buried in Notre-dame-des-neiges and there's nothing. Nothing in Mt Royal either.

There are other cemeteries, but for a central location like CSP it would be one of them, I'm pretty sure.

Wow! What a great find. Wouldn't have been possible without the combined help of Rootschatters. I'm sure Henery must be delighted. They have done a wonderful job finding this family with just a nickname and address in Canada.

I have been following this thread with interest but for some reason I can't get the the links to work for me. (from reply #21 posted by Karen) Is it just me!

The children married in Catholic churches, does Mt. Royal have a catholic section?

Hi Angela,

It's pretty amazing the wonders of rootschat sometimes isn't it.

The links worked fine for me  :-\

The children married in Catholic churches, does Mt. Royal have a catholic section?

No. Mt Royal is exclusively Protestant, although it may have a Jewish section. But there are several dedicated Jewish cemeteries.

Notre-dame-des-neiges is exclusively catholic.

The search engine at Mt Royal is easier to use, more flexible. But no results at either one.

Hello Karen

I tried the links several times earlier this evening but they didn't work.

Have just tried again and they worked! That's computers for you!!!

Great info. Henery must be delighted. We were looking for Pemilia/Pem a couple of weeks ago. The address seems to have done the trick! Great detective work everyone!

Just occurred to me that Pem sailed for Canada just a month after the Titanic sank...I wonder what her frame of mind was?

Here's a picture of the Victorian.
