My grandfather (Frank Ford) was born in early 1882 in Macclesfield.
His parents and family details:
1881 Census - Shrigley Road, Bollington
Ford, George -27 Birthplace Tytherington, Cheshire
Ford, Ellen - 26 Birthpalce, Paddington (wife)
Ford, Caroline A - 1 Birthplace, Bollington Cheshire
1901 Census - 32 Chapel Street, Swinton, Rotherham
Ford, George -46
Ford, Ellen - 46
Ford,Caronline Annie -21 (Daughter)
Ford, John - 16 Birthplace, Bollington (son, miner)
Ford, Fred - 12 Birthplacce, Ballington (son)
Ford, George - 11 (son)
Ford, Amy Jane - 6 Birthplace, Swinton, Yorks (Daughter)
Ford, Albert - 3 Birthplace, Swinton, Yorks (Son)
My question is whether Frank FORD lived with his family in 1891 and where?
It is said that he joined the army. Would this be a reason why he didn't appear in the 1901 census?
Any help would be appreciated.
