Henry George Ward

Hello all.. I am looking for My G Grandfather Henry George Ward who was born in Peterborough. His Marriage Certificate of 1886 gives his age at 34 which means he was born C.1852.His Fathers name on this Certificate is named EDMUND and HIS Occupation as Farmer.No idea as to his Mothers name. Henry George Ward is in 1891 census but his age does not match with the Marriage Certificate age.So many Wards  but not Henry George Ward
I wonder if there is a Baptism search that can be done by someone please.There must be a good detective out there who likes a good mystery.Thanking you Bernard

The 1851 census has only one entry for an Edmund Ward in Northants and he was aged 28 unmarried - son of Henry.  All b Culworth

1901 has him as b 1848

As Emily was quite a bit younger than him - perhaps he lied about his age when they were married but "came clean" afterwards???

Yes - we need to know whether his marriage cert shows him as single or widower when he married Emily.  If that is the right 1881 entry - where is Ellen in 1891 (? died) and is there a death for wife Elizabeth pre-1886?

Hi all Thank you for your input. Henry George Ward was Married on October 1 1886 aged 34 and stated as Bachelor on the marriage certificate,  Blacksmith , Living in Bradford(Yks) Father  Edmund Ward ,Farmer.
Emily Speight was 25 , Spinster , Father Edwin Speight , Mechanic.

That and the census is all I have to go on ..but..all my Ward family as far as I know lived in Yorkshire.  Thanks again...Bernard
