Hester/Esther Larner before 1824 St Giles
« on: Tuesday 24 February 09 20:31 GMT (UK) »
Hi I am looking for the birth of Hester/Esthers daughter in St Giles infirmary. Hester married Francis NORRIS (transcribed MORRIS) in 1824 and the birth was before this date. Any help would be great, thanks, Borri.

You may already have this information.
1841 Census
Francis Norris 45
Ester   35
Sarah  15
Chalotte  8
Charles  5
Elizabeth 2
Harriet  4 months.
Not sure if this helps you in anyway.

Yeah got that but thanks Toby.
It's the baby Ann that was born before the marriage that is a problem.
She seems to have been born in St Giles infirmary and baptised in Wolvercote as Ann Larner just a week before the baptism of Francis and Esthers first child, was this because she was ill or did Francis want to keep her seperate from his children? I can find no mention of Ann after her Baptism.

Yes you may be right she was more than likely ill and died very quickly.

Hi Toby
The only problem if she did die soon after baptism why wasn't she buried in Wolvercote?
I'm at work now but when I get home I will have to double check the Wolvercote Parish records but I think I must have done that before.
