BORTHWICK INSTITUTE
« on: Sunday 01 March 09 23:04 GMT (UK) »
I'm looking for a will for a John Westerby who died in Doncaster on 21st April 1837. According to information I have gleaned if he left a will it would be at the Borthwick Institute at the University Of York. I've searched on their website without success but it does say that not all the indexes are online.

Does anyone visit this Institute at all as I live in North Shields and York is a bit far away! Would very much appreciate it if anyone could check their index and see if this will exists.

David,

If you are not in a rush I am planning a visit to search the Wills index in the very near future probably end of this month or mid April, depending on weather as the garden will come first but will certainly check if you are happy to wait until then.
