1841 Census - meaning of "inmate" pls

Hi Listers

In the 1841 census in Newburn Parish I have a family and mother and children are listed as "inmate".
I am aware that this term can be used for people in the workhouse, however, this family appear to be living with another family member who is listed as "widow", and appear to be living in a normal dwelling.

The print is very feint but still legible.

I would appreciate any comments on the above.

Inmate: In relation to other persons: One who is the mate or associate of another or others in the same dwelling; one who dwells with others in a house. (Now rare.) In early use, One admitted for a consideration to reside in a house  occupied or rented by another; a lodger or subtenant.
Looking at the 'Board & Residence' classifieds in the Times for 1841, Inmate is used in a number of adverts as a synonym for boarder.
