I am trying to trace two of my relative who were sent to the poorhouse I have there record numbers but am unable to find out exactly where they were sent
they are Agnes Morrison and Robert Morrison the date I have is around 1899
they cause for them being in there was that their parent had left them with the
grandmother and she place them there any Ideas of how to find this information would be appreciated

The Mitchell Library at Glasgow holds some Dunbartonshire poorhouse applications.

What is the reference number you have?

Could be entry numbers in the poorhouse minute book. :-\

Why don't you email Dunbartonshire Council and The Mitchell Archives to see if they have them indexed. Might save a wasted trip if you don't live nearby.

For The Mitchell you'll need name + year and place of birth.

Regards,
Annette
