Help,

I tried to put the purple logo on my desktop as a quick launch.

It has appeared on the right hand side of my screen and I do not know how to get rid of it.

It is same size as it is on roots page, but when I click it it does nothing.

Whilst I love roots I only wanted a Little bitty quick start icon.

Next week I am starting a computer course  then maybe I will not be as stupid as I am now.

If you click the right-hand button on your mouse while you are over the image, does it give you an option to delete it?

Nope I tried that, and went into desktop images and found web ones and deleted it from there but it did not work.

I have tried this twice now, it is not a major problem, just annoying,

Unless you renamed it, the image will be "rootschat.gif" you may be able to search for it in Windows Explorer

I've done it

when I clicked on it a little arrow came up that gave me the option to 'do' my desk top,  it was the same screen I had found before, but this time it worked,

Jakky... If you want a Quick Start icon for RootsChat, one way to do it would be:

go to the RootsChat home page / welcome page
in your internet explorer-
go to the drop down 'File' menu,
move down to 'Send'
click on 'Shortcut to desktop'

This will give you an icon to double click on to load the RootsChat website.


I think the way you did it originally was to drag the RootsChat URL from the Address Bar, putting an Active Desktop page on your screen
