LLOYD FAMILY TREE

Have been trying to trace my LLOYD descendants with out much luck it would be wonderful if anyone can help?


Richad Lloyd b.1835 only know he was born in Yorkshire. UK.  Hisfathers name is John Lloyd but have no idea where he was born or his mothers name....

At some time Richard arrived in Adelaide Australia..


Richard Lloyd  1835-1907 d. Adelaide.
Margaret Meyers b.1836-1874 d. Adelaide m.1867 in Adelaide  No children.


Richard Lloyd
No2  Emma Wadsworth b.1843 UK  d.1899 Adelaide. m.1874 Adel.

1. Child.  Arthur Wadsworth Lloyd 1874-1946 Adelaide.


Arthur Wadsworth Lloyd m.1902 Adelaide
Grace Maud Beatrice Mills b.1875 UK d. 1948 Adelaide.
They had 6 children


If anyone can help with being able to trace the family tree back further with Richard Lloyd and his father John Lloyd........would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Dort and welcome to rootschat.   
Do you have any idea when they went to Australia?   Are we likely to be able to find them on the early census in the UK?    Yorkshire is an enormous county so every detail will help.
Any idea of occupations for Richard and his father?

No we don't really know a year he has been a mystery.....only know that he came to Australia he got here some time....he got married in 1867 in Adelaide.

Didn't have much luck in the early census there were lots of Richards and we only know his fathers name John Lloyd but don't know what his mother name is....makes it hard.

Hi Dort/Daught   (Did you have trouble replying that you have created a new name?   You just click the reply button at the bottom of the post)
I think you need to do more research in Australia and get a couple of certificates as they are usually full of information.   Much better than English ones.   Try putting a post on the Australian board and see what people come up with.

Howdy again Andrea....I'm new Rootchat i could have done anything hehe. Thanks very much i will try that.  I do have Richards death and marrage certificate and all they say is he was born in Yorkshire and his fathers name is John Lloyd might see how i go with trying to find his birth cert as well...and try on the Aussie site here....
