I am trying to find out what happened to my great grandfather who was George Charles Evance. He was born in 1891 in Camberwell, London and served during the 1st World War in 7th Hussars. The last record we have of him is on a passenger list going to South Africa in 1922. Despite contacting a professional researcher in SA we can find no further trace. I would be grateful for any ideas as we have never found his death recorded.
