Could anyone please help me with a look up in the 1871 census? i am looking for

George Loader born abt 1807 ( the father )
George Frederick Loader born 1855-1859 Sherbourne Dorset.

Any help would be gratefully recieved as this family is very difficult to keep hold of?

Hi Jackie

I can see George snr in the 1861 Census of Sherborne with his niece Sarah Vallard and her four children Ann Jane, George, Elizabeth and James.

I can also see him in the 1871 Census of Sherborne. He's still living next door to the New Inn.

George Pope, lodger, 15, labourer
Elizabeth Pope, lodger, 14, silk winder

All born in Sherborne

The family of Sarah Vallard is virtually the same as that of Sarah Pope. Is she actually the same person?

Is it also possible that George Vallard/Pope is in fact the younger George Loader you were looking for?
