If someone lives in Diss is it poss  that their death could be Reistered in Suffork because its on the boarder. I looked up a death for 1987 in Diss Norfork no name found, looked up same name under sufforlk a match came up so is this village split?

The river and the border runs through part of Diss and it is quite feasible that the death was registered in Suffolk, depending on where the death occured.

Do you know if Stowmarket would be the reg department if it was on the suffork side of the river?

Another thought. If the person was in a hospital when they died, that could have been in Stowmarket, hence the Suffolk registration.
