Andrew MOANSON - Sweden 1851
« on: Wednesday 11 March 09 14:28 GMT (UK) »
Hi
Im trying to research an ancestor in Sweden.

Name: MOANSON (MANSSON), Andrew  (Anders)
Born:  1851 (abt)
Place: Malmoy (or Malmo), Sweden

Father: Moris  - (Forest keeper)
Mother: Nilsson, Kerstie (Kerstin)

Its rather confusing with Swedish names.   Andrew left Sweden aboard the Lammershagen via Hamburg. 1872 for Australia

Any help re: Moanson family would be appreciated.

Hi Jack, I am sorry for just answering your question with a question, but what do you know of Moanson's in Sydney, have you heard of a Mary Moanson, My Maori G.Grandfather put down Mary as a next of kin, (thought probably not blood related). Have attached what I could dig up of Moanson's in BDM records in NSW.

thanks Chris

Hi
Im decendant of Andrew and Margaret (O'keefe) Moanson
through their daughter Margaret Pearl b. 1886.

I don't have a great deal on the Moanson (Monson) families of Sydney - I will see what I do have and get back to you.

I do have a little on both Francis (Frank) and his other sister Kristine. . .

Will see what I have about that side of the family.

Hi Jack

Was wondering if you had any information on whom Kristine married?

Regards
