Hazel Rothwell b 1912 Winnipeg

does anybody have connections to or any knowledge of, Hazel Rothwell, parents William or Willy, Margaret or Margarita?
she was born, according to 1916 Manitoba census in 1912, parents both English born c 1882
by 1932 I belive this family have removed to Calgary, Alberta
think that William/Willy was verger to Protestant Cathedral, Calgary for many years until 1948 at least
would really like information and dates for parent's marr and deaths
and Hazel's birth, marr, if there was one, any children and death
have this very basic info from various City Directories
would love to see or be told of information in the 1916 Manitoba Census which I do not have access to
for instance if Hazel actually was born in Winnipeg or indeed in Manitoba

Hi Nev,  I can't answer you question directly but I can suggest where you may find some online databases etc.

Go to Cyndi's List , then the Canada section, then look at the two Provinces involved- Manitoba and Alberta.   see if they have bdms onlline etc.  Lots of links there.

Margaret E. Rothwell, 33, born England, immigrated 1910
Wm. J. Rothwell, 9, born Manitoba
Margaret Rothwell, 5, born Manitoba
Hazel Rothwell, 4, born Manitoba

The Manitoba Vital Statistics genealogy database has an entry for the birth of William Jesse Rothwell on 13 Apr 1907 in Winnipeg. His mother is listed as Margaret Edith Pill. There are no further details listed in the database. If you want to order a copy of the registration it costs $12 Canadian. Margaret and Hazel's births are not included in the database as they are still covered by privacy laws (births less than 100 years ago). Here's a link to the website:

From the Free BMD, there is a marriage listed from the first quarter of 1903 for Margaret Edith Pill that has Willie Rothwell on the same page in West Ashford, Kent (Volume: 2a, Page: 1779).

I found them on the 1911 census in Winnipeg as well as on the 1906 census of Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta.

Margaret, the wife, is listed as Mary Edith and Margaret, the older daughter, is listed as Hilda although daughter Margaret's name is listed as something else at Ancestry. The other information (ie both Williams listed, dates and places of birth) matches.

The link polarbear provided also has the 1906 census. If you click on Manitoba, Winnipeg, Ward 7, page 17 the entry is on lines 15 and 16.

You won't be able to view the images today as the Library and Archives Canada website is performing some maintenance. It should be available Sunday though.

from what you have supplied this Wiily is not the William Rothwell I am looking for
I will need to do some further research and obtain some certificates

both born in Oxfordshire
he is deifinitely not my William Rothwell
