posted on the other thread it looks to me like 'd' coy, territorial army, royal artillery.  the style of backgrounds suggests india rather than mesopotamia, as does the headgear pictured, the later promotion being to lance-bombardier.

Can't be a plt s they are Drop Shorts... ;) ;D

The other int is a bit too non specific for an Arty unit as well...

 ;) ;D
One more charge and then be dumb,
When the forts of Folly fall,
May the victors when they come
Find my body near the wall.

forgive me i made a huge error as i was browsing one of my militaria sites at the same time :D

yes its royal artillery (formerly royal field artillery until 1924 which i think has been mentioned elsewhere).  as it happens i was comparing two gv artillery cap badge photos both rfa and one happened to be from a territorial force (now ta) members photograph.

so forgive me for that error hehe :D  :-[

but yes it certainly looks like rfa in india. this is identifiable by the dress and the pith helmet badge.  you can view similar here though this is obviously a european front unit...

apologies again for the error.

joel :)
