MURTAGH, Ballymurray, Roscommon

Thomas Murtagh was a RIC from 1881-1919.  He was married in 1890 to Ellen Brennan.  They had Rose Ellen, John Thomas, Patrick Stephen, Wm. James.  I would love to learn more about the family.
Thomas was stationed in Sligo and Waterford....as RIC

Thomas Murray, R.I.C. Constable, 40944, from Ballymurray, Co, Roscommon, died on the 22/5/1940. He had a son William J. Murtagh who was also an R.I.C. Constable.

William J. Murtagh, 68983, a 21 year old R.I.C. Constable died accidentally on the morning of December 26th 1919, as a result of a gunshot wound to the head, at the police hut at Clonoulty, Co. Tipperary. (as reported by Dublin Evening Telegraph 29th December 1919.)
