Thomas BLOMFIELD 1638 - Mendlesham
« on: Wednesday 18 March 09 11:53 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

Could anyone please confirm this Thomas's parents please.

It has been hinted that the parents are John Blomfield 1591 and Mary Hall both on their 2nd marriages - not sure if Hall is Mary's 1st husbands name or her maiden name - location of marriage Mendlesham.

Any help much appreciated.

Hi, whilst looking at Mendlesham, I also looked at baptisms ~1638 (much harder to read than those in the 1500's) but could not see one for Thomas Blomfield around this time.

Hi Annes,

Your infomation supplied already is great and I cant thank you enough.

However I am still stuck at one peace of the jigsaw puzzle to put everything in order.

I have my 'hint' that Thomas' parents are as follows......

John Blomfield 1591 m Mary in  Mendlesham 11.06.1632

Mary was a widow age 34 when she married John Blomfield and he was a widower aged 40

Did you come across this marriage?

If I could JUST place Thomas as their son (or not as the case may be) and confirming this marriage may help - unfortunately the person who passed this information onto me when they came across it whilst tracing their Blomfields in the same location didnt leave any contact details so i cant ask where their info came from - some of it has been confirmed as definiate and you have helped me do some of this but some of it has proved to belong to yet another Blomfield line!!!!

If you or anyone else can help me i would be really really grateful.

The sun is shining here and I hope evryone is having a great day!

My thanks again

Yi Win
