thanks i been in touch with my friend and he just received a certi and he said the mother maiden name was Ann Slater so now i got a bit more to go on,and i thinking that Richard that was with his grandmother was the right one but thank you for the info you were very very helpfull,

So where does Richard Shean / Sheehan fit in - maybe the Enumerators mistake and he wasnt a Son at all ?

Certainly a merry dance and a few coincidences with the names in earlier yeras !  ;)

would it be possible for you to pin point Thomas holly in 1901 census age 18 yrs in st marks parish swansea this was Ann holly son,i hope you wont mind me asking? he was a sea man.thanks
