Hi out there,

Looking for information on Gertrude May Whatling born 11.11.1901
Heath Park Estate Romford, mother was Sarah Elizabeth Whatling born about 1880, looking for information on Gertrude's sister don't know her name.  Gertrude went to New Zealand in 1920 and married Ernest John Woodward.  Sarah Elizabeth could have married and used the name Cook, but not sure

have you tried
http://www.watling.org.uk/

there is a lot of info there

I am related to the Romford branch but there was another branch that moved to Romford from Norfolk I believe.

I do not have either of those names in my tree so cannot help.

Many thanks for the information, my great grandmother, Sarah Elizabeth Whatling, I have found out, married 1903 at Henstead, Norfolk, but don't know who she married????  She died in 1940's, my grandmother Gertrude May Woodward nee Whatling went back to see her.  http:/www.watling.org.uk/ is the surname spelt wrong or is that part of the Whatling family.

Thanks again

Surnames were often spelt differently as many people could not read or write so could no comment on whether the spelling was correct or not.

go to the website i know there will be something there which should help!
