It its any help I have transcribed EVERY Shrimpton from the IGI in Long Crendon - there are loads.  I aim to get it into a database (pages of notes at the moment).  Send me the Shrimpton names you have and I'll see if I can help

Just like I always say people on these websites are unfailingly helpfull and polite!!

OK we have Dorothy Mabel Shrimpton, 1916
father
Walter Shrimpton circa 1890(sibs Ernest, Jane & May)
Father Walter Shrimpton circa 1850 married to Ellen

Walter Shrimpton could have been Walter Oswald or Oswell.
Either father or son.

Thanks for the offer of help Melanie

Sorry, no luck with your Walter - but thats probably because I have focussed on the earlier ones.
I think you may be interested in this page on the Shrimptons:

(my family tree is on the left hand side of the page !)

Stay in touch - theres every possibility that we will have a common Shrimpton ancestor. :)
You can always contact me direct through my web site

Hi again Steve
I am related by marriage
My aunt married Frederick Charles Shrimpton a descendent of Charles Inkerman Shrimpton.
They're a bit of a convoluted lot...such large families

I've only gone back to Solomon and Mary as they are a bit off my beaten track, but they seem to be quite an interesting family
