Hi there

Thanks for that. Is there anything that looks like death of wife Martha?
They also had a daughter Martha in 1850 not sure when she died (or married?) either.

Thanks.
Lilygirl.

Wow that's a bit odd would you think possibly the same person?? Lot of coincidences if it isn't wouldn't you think??

I had them having a son John WHITTENBURY  born 1843 married to Mary Ann Lewis  no death details tho

Daughter Martha born 1850 no marriage or death.
few other children I have details of, then a son Thomas born 1859 married to Alice no death details tho.

Thanks
Lilygirl.

Hi Lilygirl,

They didn't have much luck with their Children. I see 8 births in SA to Benjamin and Martha CAMP (one says Margaret)

WHITTENBURY Charles 23 Feb 1854 Not Recorded Dist Ade aged 5 months parents Benjamin and Martha Residence Cowandilla Plains

WHITTENBURY Alice 3 July 1855 Not Recorded Dist Ade aged 6 months. Father Benjamin, mother M Residence Richmond

WHITTENBURY George 21 Mar 1858 Reedy Beds Dist Ade 5 463 aged 4 months father Benjamin Residence Reedy Beds

WHITTENBURY Alfred Camp 12 Nov 1860 Reedy Beds Dist Ade 9 186 he was aged 22 days father Benjamin Residence Reedy Beds

Although I can't find Martha's death I wonder if Benjamin may have remarried, can't find her death either

WHITTENBURY Benjamin Full age Status not recorded father Thomas = HISKEY Hannah Full age Father William HARROLD 6 May 1861 St Luke Church [Adelaide]
Dist Ade 46 215

PS: I haven't looked at the passenger lists yet, been busy with this. Seems awfully similar as you say and only one couple having children at that time Benjamin and Martha CAMP

The family are listed on the Prince Regent

http://www.slsa.sa.gov.au/fh/passengerlists/1849PrinceRegent.htm

No-one with a name similar on the Florentia in 1849, so a mistake in BISA
