do the names william hill and lydia johnston mean anything to anybody?they were my gg grandparents i think they lived in dromore county down william was a shoemaker. also looking for the heaneys also a shoemaker or shoemakers journeyman.william hill had at least 4 children edward andrew born 1/1/1843 sarah born about 1831? mary born about 1840 and at least one more son  edward was a shoemakers journeyman he met and married mary cadden in glasgow edward died in 1882 and mary married william john heaney they lived in greenock in scotland one of marys sons samuel hill later moved back to ireland he was living in knockbreda in 1901
any information would be very helpful

What denomination were the Heaney, Hill and Johnston families?

You'll have to rely on Church records as civil registration in Ireland was not introduced until 1864. Non Catholic marriages were registered from 1845 onwards. When registration for BDMS started in 1864 some people didn't bother with the registration for a few years after that date. Keep your fingers crossed that church records still exist.
