« on: Friday 18 February 05 10:57 GMT (UK) »
Hiya,
My grand father Benjamin Williams worked in the Chida gold mines in Ghana 1902-1910 and then in Lebong Donok, Sumatra gold mines 1911 till 1920's?
I am looking for information.

How did he find the position has anyone researched this particular occupation?

In the only information i have it mentions that he was the only englishman(?) there others were dutch and germans!

any help would be most welcome
kind regards
Paul Williams
Looking for Williams (Merthyr) and (Briton Ferry), as well as Abraham (Abercanaid)and Gerrard (Dorset and London)
