Hi All

I have found a death in NSW for Phines Phillip Rosenthal with father Jacob Samuel.
I can not find a birth for him in NSW.
Jacob Samuel Rosethal married Esther Matilda Raphael
I have their children
Gertrude M
Clara Estelle
Minnie Louisa
Julian G R
Caroline Phoebe
Josephine R V
Cecilia E
I also can not find a death for Jacob Samuel Rosenthal.
Any help would be great.
I have found an Insolvency file on Jacob Samuel at it states formerly Melbourne.Vic
When he married Esther Matilda it was stated he was a widower.So maybe Phines,Phineas,Phillip was born in Vic

When he married in 1888 his Name was Phineas? Maybe when he was born his last name was spelt wrong? His parents married in 1869 so he must of been born around then to make him able to marry in 1888?

I went on VIC bdm site you can find out if you can pay $1.00 to view the records, theres a Jacob Rosenthal with at least 5 records one is a birth.

The only Jacob Rosenthal death in Victoria
is in 1936 age 62, so not your man

Was of chasing up Phineas Son Cecil and lo and behold he ended up in Western Australia in a small country town that my husband and i managed the pub in 29 years ago.

No sorry i don''t.He was married at a residence by the jewish rites and there is not a lot of information on the marriage cert at all.
I also saw on the NSW Archives site
Naturalization papers for Jacob Samuel and a Asadore Michael Rosenthal same file no in 1872 might have to order that one,it might give me a bit more information.
