Barthing Lee?
« on: Saturday 04 April 09 13:24 BST (UK) »
I have a note given to me many years ago which said that a William Lowe was born in the parish of Dronfield in 1754.

But is there such a place called Barthing Lee, please?

I live near Dronfield but never heard of a "Barthing Lee" unless it's a misprint

Thanks Omskirk
I'm prepared to accept that 'Birchin Lee'.  There is obviously no hamlet in Dronfield llikely.  After all a 'farm' name at that time was probably a better name for a location..
Now to look at maps.

Again thanks
