Request Date of Photo

Would anyone know the approximate date of this photo form the gentleman's uniform -- also the ages of the couple?

Hi Wendy...I can't help with a date or the uniform you need Jim for that...but is this the same guy as the young soldier...they look like the same person to me.
At least this will bring it back up the board

I am trying to figure out who all the people are. There is a good chance the couple are my great grandparents and the soldier their son, my grandmother's brother....

This is a photo of my grandmother in 1952

I've always thought she looked too much like the woman in the photo of the couple to not be related

There is definitely a strong resemblance - especially the nose. I think it could be the same woman. What do others think?

I really don't think it's the same woman -- which is why I need the first one dated

The first photo I believe is older than the second photo taken in 1952...I could be wrong. The first photo just doesn't look exactly like the grandmother I remember (the lady in second photo)

Yes, I would have said 1940s for the first picture, and I'm pretty well convinced it's the same lady in both pics.  Even the glasses and hair are exactly the same!

the two photos look very very alike and if they are not the same person they are very closely related.But,my first instinct tells me that they are the same person but I could be wrong

I'd also say (early) 1940s. WWII? (could those be blackout cutains behind them? I'm not a uniform expert but I do have a lot of 40s photos and collect 40s clothing. Everything about her appearance says 1940s to me. She does look very like the other lady, if not the same maybe a sister? Any idea who the man is?
