Do you know William's occupation?

I wonder if this is his family in 1851?
Kiln Yard, Louth

Thomas Stones head wid 56 ag lab b Lincs, Mavis Enderby
William son 22 brick and tile maker b Louth
Eliza daur 22 housekeeper b Louth
Eleanor 14 b Louth

HO107/2111/467/21

(Not sure about my Lincolnshire place name locations so I'll have to check further to see if this might be your Belton family - I just thought I'd run them by you ...  ;))

While I don't know of a brickyard at Louth, (there may well be one of course) There are several in the Isle of Axholme area on the fringe between Notts, South Yorks (Doncaster) and Lincs. If you could establish the ownership of the yard in each area it would be a pointer. At a guess Louth is at least 40 miles from Belton.

Looks like the wrong family then Redroger.

From what I gathered by quickly looking on Genuki, it seems that Belton had a small poplulation so any Stones should be able to be grouped into families. There are several on the 1851 b Belton.

(good finds Tazzie  ;))

The Stones family found in Louth at Kiln yard are also there in 1841. Looks like wife/mother is Susannah, so definitely wrong family ....

Agreed, if they were there in 1841, must be the wrong family.
