Headstone - William died in Kerry 1849
« on: Monday 06 April 09 16:14 BST (UK) »
In a friend's garden behind a shed, is half an old headstone:

William ...

of Blaenat ...

Died June 1849 ...

Buried at Kerry ...

I've tried looking on freebmd and there are several possibilities. I wonder if anyone has access to a burial index that shows who this William actually was?

Thanks,
Simon

I looked again and the place William lived at in Kerry is BLEANATHO... (the last letter or letters missing). What would the likely ending of this place name be? Would it end in an n, dd, g, l, or something else? Would there be a meaning to this word in Welsh?

Thanks,
Simon

I checked again and I'm sure it's Bleanathon. Is there any kind person who has access to the 1841 census for Kerry?
