Yes, I am looking for relatives and any other information regarding the Horwood family of High Wycombe.  Frances John Horwood was my grandfather.  He went by his middle name, John.  But he often went by his nickname 'Jack'.  He moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada .  He was born 1881 and lived to just a month short of 105 years old.  Thanks for any input.

So far I have found that Jack's father was Charles Horwood b. 1844 and his mother was Sarah (?) b. 1843.  Charles Horwood was born in Braunton,Devon, England.  He was a chairmaker.  I am new at this and am not quite sure how far back I can go on the internet.  I did get most of my information from the 1891 census.

here we are

we can trace parents back through census

you can view 1881 census free at www.familysearch.org

this is the ref for Charles and sarah
RG11 1468 21 4

1871
Downley W Wycombe Bucks
Charles Horwood head M 26 Chairmaker Aston Clinton Bank  bucks
Sarah wife 28 lace maker Prestwood Bucks
Eva Emeline daughter 7mths Downley W Wycombe Bucks
RG10 1407 118 23

The only thing that is puzzling me - is you have Charles p.o.b. as Braunton Devon -yet hee seems to consistantly have his p.o.b. as Aston Clinton bucks

Where did you get his p.o.b. from???

I'll just hold back until you reply
