Lookup request - Frank Wildgust born 1899 Nottingham [Complete]
« on: Tuesday 07 April 09 19:32 BST (UK) »
Hi,

Does anyone have any info or could give me any clues on a Frank Wildgust born Mar 1899 possibly freeBMD: 7b 347 Nottingham district. I am unable to find him on ancestry.co.uk in the 1901 census. He later went on to marry Florence R Spencer in 1919 in Nottingham district on freeBMD: 7b 831.

I would like to try and help someone asking for more info using GenesReunited. I could suggest buy the cert from the GRO. Does anyone have access to the 1911 census?

I really appreciate any help

cheers

Richard

Hi Richard,

Try RG13/3184 160 21 (leave surname out)

 :)

(The site you mention above also have his 1915 military record - he lied a bit about his age, apparently - showing father's name Herbert)

Hello,

I know this sounds daft but where do I use that reference of RG13/3184 160 21?. Isn't that the reference on the images of the censuses? I normally use ancestry and freeBMD.

I am assuming the marriage was in Nottinghamshire and there are 2 marriages in Nottinghamshire on freeBMD for a Herbert Wildgust in 1890 and 1897 respectively. I hoping to find out soon from the Lady on genes if she knew the name of her GGrandmother so I can narrow it down.

Thank you for your help.

cheers

Using ancestry's 'old search experience' for the 1901 census, you can just enter the reference into the appropriate fields.

I'm afraid it looks like mum was Annie Smith  :P
