Maid in Kensington from 1901
« on: Thursday 09 April 09 12:59 BST (UK) »
Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help me?
I'm trying to trace the movements of my great grandmother. I know that in 1901 she was living at 142 Cromwell Road, Kensington and that by 1906 she was at 3 Old Palace Lane, Richmond but I'm trying to work out if she was there the whole time till 1906 or not and if she was there in the couple of years prior. She was gone by 1911, but not sure when. Is there any way to find this out?
In addition; can anyone look at electoral rolls for this address (number 3 Old Palace Lane) in 1906 for me please? Might not be any help, but I'm clutching at straws!

Also, was it usual for housemaids/parlour maids to move about so often? She was in a number of houses and seemed to have had to move on every time she got pregnant/had a baby (3 times).

Thanks for your help, sorry it's a but vague with lots of questions, but any info would be good to build up a picture of her.
