Hi,
Does anybody know where to find army service records for 1813

Joseph Penington on his Daughter Mary Ann bapt St Peters Hudderfield- his occupation Soldier
Born out of wedlock to Harriet Cheswell 6-06-1813 (walking out together) & Joseph Pennington

They Married 22-10-1814 St Peter Huddersfield
Joseph aged 24  'of Atherton of the dioese of Chester aged 22 of 'of this Parish' by Licence Bond marriage

(covered by ALLERTON Archdeconry of Richmond Cattrick of York in the diocese of chester(Yorkshire)

Cattrick is an army barrack Atherton could be Allerton

Joseph Died St Peters Huddersfield buriels 1840 aged 47

By theier first sibling Joseph Junior bapt 1815 Joseph senior was a Labourer.

What I gather from history the army was in Huddersfield area for the Luddite riots around 1812 (Marsden)

Any advice on sources would be very appreciated

In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth
