1930 Address lookup - Cherwell Terrace
« on: Friday 10 April 09 17:52 BST (UK) »
Hello,
I have reason to believe I have family members who used to live in Cherwell Terrace in Banbury, Oxfordshire which I am told now no longer exists.
Their address as of January 1930 was 13 Cherwell Terrace.
Can anyone please help me to access the electroral register from that period in order to find out when the family left Cherwell Terrace, and who was living at that address from 1930 onwards.
The adults names were I believe Thomas and Elsie Callow, and I know they had at least one son, John.

Any assistance anyone can offer would be a massive help,

Thanks in advance,

Lucas

Hi Lucas,

In 1934, at number 13, Cherwell Terrace, lived Henry William Bleach, and at number 16 lived a Mrs. Callow.

In 1940, at number 13 was a Mrs Chandler, and at number 16 was Harold George Ewers.

I hope this helps.

Regards
Foz

Thanks a lot for that Foz,
Unfortunately if there are no Callows there in 1934 then it looks like the trail is cooling down somewhat.

Hello,
I have seen that before thanks
It's the desendants of Thomas G Callow i'm interested in and as I said before, on his sons baptism in January 1930 they were down at 13.
Alice L Callow later married someone by the name of Bleach and I have spoken to her son personally, though he doesnt know what happened to the rest of the family or that his mother had brothers, hence the problem.
