My grandfather was in the above orphan houses in 1911. I have found him because he has quite an unusual surname. He appears on a page with 30 boys aged 9-13 from all around the country, as far away as Yorkshire in one case. It gives name age and place of birth. If you think your ancestor might be there I'm happy to look for you although it IS only one page. (I have still to get the page with his sister on but if I do, presumably she will be on a page of 30 girls.)
