Thanks for all the information- glad to confirm it matches with the details I have (apart from a few burials, which I didn't have) 

How do your lines fit in? Ferret1 - you must be descended from John Harcourt and Ann Ellis? (Is it Barachias? I love that name! ) Fjale- I know you are linked by marriage- where abouts do you link?

My line goes from Boyse Harcourt and Deborah Curteys/Curtis (parents Augustine Curteys and Deborah. Augustine was a carver and there is a lovely memorial to him at St Peter Mancroft, Norwich)

Boyse and Deborah had 5 children that I know of, all born in Norwich-
Deborah
Rebecca
John
Ann
Boys

I am descended from their daughter Ann, who married William Goodbody in St Peter Mancroft, Norwich 21 Jan 1765, and then through their son, Boyse Goodbody. Happy to give further details of my line if you are interested. I would love yours too.

The Harcourts/ Boys/ Jermys are such interesting families aren't they?
It would be good to share notes to see if we can help fill in any gaps!

I have John Harcourt's parents (ie the one who married Ann Jermy) as John Harker/Harcourt and Ann Cubitt ( Cubitt is a good old Norfolk name, but I don't know anything about her yet) and then before that it's John Jr Harker and Jane Boys - well documented online, but I havn't checked the details in PRs for myself yet.

I've just joined the forum and am new to researching family history. I found your rather old post and am very interested as my mother is a living Harcourt (age 93). By a combination of my own research and by looking at other's trees i have been able to trace the line back to John Harker and have similar results to you, i.e:

What is particularly interesting is that, according to others, the Cubbit line can be traced back to royalty but I am taking that with a pinch of salt for the moment.  If you have managed to dig out any additional information on the Harcourt line since your original post - particularly the change of name from Harker, I would be very interested

Arthur Edward Harcourt (my great great grandfather's child from his 2nd marriage) was born in Norwich in 1894 and died in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. He married Daisy Anetta Pearson.
I'm not sure of this fits in with your family?
