Hello Ecca
I can't help with your particular family names but I wondered if you have seen a copy of the book "Dunbarney A Parish with a Past"? It is a very interesting publication which might be worth reading simply for background information. The authors are J W and R E Seath and it is published by Perth and Kinross District Libraries 1991. I obtained my copy from the A K Bell Library in Perth about 4 or 5 years ago and it cost £1.75.

Did your ancestor have any connection, as far as you know, to Pitkeathly Spa?
Good luck.

Hi ecca,
I have a ancestor John Foord who married a Jean Pitkeatly in 1768, Perth. Whilst trying to track down parents for her, (unsuccessfully), I did some searches on SP. Of these there are two that might be of particular interest:

Lowrence Pitkaithlie and Jean Bowman of Forgandenny had a daughter Jean Pitkaithlie on 16 April 1749

and

David Pitkaithly and Ann Davidson of Forgandenny had a daughter Jean Pitkaithly on 6th October 1754

These may be your David and Lawrence, giving you potential dates and spouses.  If you send me your email address, I'll send you more records so that we don't run into copyright issues.

Best wishes,
Jimmijam
