illegible name
« on: Thursday 16 April 09 22:47 BST (UK) »
Hi there,
I have been patiently trawling the Bishops Transcripts for Earsdon for my FH.
I have come to Page 98 where I find the baptism of John & Alice Jakes's first child on June 13th 1787.
But I can't read the child's name!
Is there any way I can find this out?
(My ancestor, James was born later in 1789, I would dearly like to know his siblings)

Any ideas?
Liz

A couple of days ago in Tyne & Wear Archives, I saw film of Earsdon Parish
(St Alban's) Church marriage register...

Very difficult to read.

" Banns of Marriage between John Jack and Alice Twizell, both of this parish, were published in this church on 4th, 11th and 18th June 1786, by me, William Warkman."

The marriage record, for 1st July 1786 included two witnesses that looked like Jas ( for James) or Jos (for Joseph) Jamson and "Jon" Jack
