I wanted to confirm if the Elizabeth who wed William, was the same Elizabeth bapt.22 Oct.1789 to William and Eleanor Sharpe and any other ancestors,if possible how William came to be marrying someone from Newark,he was a stone mason,so one possibility is he met her while working at Newark

Hi

The marriage is on the NFHS CD but to confirm the relatives you would have to see the original record.

I have also seen the picture of the original entry on Ancestry from Pallots Marriage index but that just says:

William Hood of Castle Donnington,Co. Leics & Elizabeth Sharpe by certificate 15 Oct 23 (and then it is stamped) Newark Ntts XV

I still think you need to see the church record at the Nottm Archives.

Thanks Jane, does it give which church the marriage was at,i don`t know Newark, but assume a place that size has more than one church
