Using this Board

This board is for help in deciphering hard-to-read writing on certificates,
census images, wills and other old Family History documents.

And it is also for help in finding out where buildings and places are
in old photos and postcards, i.e. help in recognising the location.

If the image you need to be deciphered is subject to copyright, or to terms and conditions from its source which prohibit its reproduction, then you may only post a small portion of it on Rootschat.  Whole pages or documents from such sources will be removed.

When you have your answer(s), please could you press the "Topic Completed" button at the bottom of your post. This will put a small green tick (or 'check') to show it's been solved. 

This makes it easier for helpers to concentrate on "unsolved mysteries"
