You haven't mentioned the year but index to civil registrations 1845-1958 is now online (free):

If you know the bride's name you can check there to find a match in the details before ordering.
With the name, year (or year and quarter), registration district, volume and page numbers you can order the marriage certificate.

If you are sure it's the correct Thomas Sterne then you can order the certificate to get the full details.

if he is marring a Elizabeth then it is. Ireland is a 4 1/2 hour flight for me and I dont have a credit card. I am trying to get as much as I can about my family then taking a trip to Ireland and getting a lot of BDM certs at once. I am trying to be able to get them without days searching.
