Dear Ruth,
Just read your messages on here.  So much information on John Alfred Burton.  But I do know he had
more than one child. Horace was first born and then a girl and another boy.  I'm sure that they died
early.  I will also be sending in the mail an update on all George Alfreds children who they married.
I did get to read and copy the letter Elizabeth Jane Jenner sent home to England.  Just great. 
A real insight into early Australian living.  I loved it.  Thankyou for giving me the opportunity of viewing this,I'm absolutely thrilled to start up again in the research and actually not be stone walled.
Although I am in the process of trying to find out who Elizabeth Jane Jenners brothers and sisters were.  And the mystery that still remains.  The original Temperance Burton, her maiden name.
Can anybody help me out!!!

     Does anyone know anything further about Temperance Burton b. 1812 (maiden name unknown?) and husband Thomas Burton, b.1810, St. Pancras. London, Engl. parents of Mary Ann, Eliza and George Alfred Burton? 
    Also has anyone any further knowledge of family of William Henry WILSON and Rhoda BURTON (a dau. of George Alfred). 
After the death of his father, my father 'Burt' Pretty (age 18 yrs.) lived with his uncle William Wilson for a couple of years in Mornington, and worked in his store. 
William Wilson owned "Wilson's Stores" (later called "Wilson & Livock Stores") in Main Street, Mornington, Victoria.  William's son Ernie was best man at my parent's wedding in Mornington in 1925; also another son Edward (Ted)  was a 'close' cousin to my parents for many years, and lived in Mont Albert at one time.  Anyone have any further knowledge of either of these two Wilsons?    Ruth MacLeod (nee Pretty)

I will just add for your interest, Ruth, that Parkville is where Melbourne's large Public Hospital is situated., The Royal Melbourne.  Also there is The Royal Women's and The Royal Childen's.

So sometimes when place of death says Parkville, it may mean within one of those hospitals rather than residential address.
