Hannah COOPER Baptism Lookup please *COMPLETED*

Hi everyone,

Could someone please look up the following baptism for me:

Hannah COOPER born abt.1819 Long Sutton Lincolnshire Father: John COOPER

I'm hoping to find her mother's name, then a marriage for her parents.

Hannah doesn't seem to be in the IGI batch for Long Sutton (C030861) .... but there was a John COOPER there "active" at that time
1816 William Farrow COOPER
1817 Jos(ep)h Farro COOPER
1819 Jane COOPER

all children of John and Eleanor COOPER (perhaps John COOPER and Eleanor SQUIRES, married Sutton St James 16 Oct 1815)

Hmmm ... was your lass the Hannah COOPER who married Edward CRAFT in 1845?  She was from Bedfordshire.

Hi Geoff,

No, my Hannah married Joseph Hopkins in 1840 at Wisbech.  Would it be possible to see if there's a marriage for a John Cooper to a Mary (not sure of maiden name)?  The reason I'm asking is that on the 1841 England Census it has a John Cooper and a Mary Cooper with a daughter Keturah.  Hannah named one of her children Keturah.

Ah ... a John COOPER married a Mary BARTON (wid) at Long SUTTON 24 March 1818.

Unfortunately, there seem to be no suitable Long Sutton burials for her husband, nor baptisms there which would have given her husband's name.

In fact, there's no youngish Mr BARTON buried Lincs 1813-18 in the National Burial Index.

Thanks for this Geoff.  John would have been about 32 in 1818 cause it has him at age 55 on the 1841 Census living at Tydd St Giles Cambridgeshire with a Mary.  Are there any marriages for Mary and Mr Barton so I could find out her maiden name?  Can i ask where you searched for the marriage of John Cooper, was it on the IGI?

Lincs FHS East Elloe Deanery marriage Index.

There's this marriage at Tydd St Mary 1809 Wm BARTON to Mary PROCTOR (IGI has Wm BURTON) - IGI has BURTON baptisms at Long Sutton - but after 1818 , so perhaps not them after all.  Tis a puzzle
