1851 look up please - sorted thankyou

Could I have a look up for Edward Macdonald born 1831 Dover kent.

Parents are William and Elizabeth both born about 1791 Kent.

I'm trying to locate your Edward but I'm having a few problems. What other information do you have on the family? Have you got him on some of the later censuses? Where did you get his birth year from?
Hopefully any other infomation you can give us will help find him.

THanks for you reply, I have Edward in 1861 with his mother who is a widow and she is an Inn Keeper at the Plough Inn, Dover, Edward is a carpenter.

In 1871 they are still at the Plough Inn and in 1881 Edward is on his own.

Are they the family in Alkham in 1841?  Not quite Dover but nearby.

1851 - Buckland Street, Buckland, Kent (near Dover)

William McDONALD head mar 63 publican b.Cheriton Kent
Elizabeth wife 60 b.Sittingbourne Kent
Edward son unm 20 carpenter b.Alkham Kent
Thomas? SHILLING visitor mar? 62 coachman b.St Mary Dover

I haven't got the family in 1841 so I don't know.  But this family looks a good bet to me.
