Surnames Gay & Garland

My gggrandfather ,Moses Gay, a mason, married Caroline Garland in 1842 in Bath.  I've sent for the marriage certificate for more info, but in the meantime, is anyone researching these family names?  Does anyone have anything that would help me find out more about their ancestors?

This is great - yes it's the right family. In my records I had three children - Albert, Agnes & Frank - so it all ties in.  Now to try & get further back up the tree......

Found the other connections to the Boyce family and the Garlands in Somerset.
Two more Boyce and GARLAND / BOYCE marriages.
I have found both of these men on 1881 census ,
believe they are brothers.

Do you have any more info on the Garland family?  I only have Caroline Garland and her father, John Cornish(?) Garland, a servant.  Caroline was born c1824.  If you have anything else to add to my tree, I'd be really interested to see it.

Sarah Jane Garland married James Boyce in Pontypridd Glamorgan
Dec qtr of 1873 pontypridd reg - 11a 632.

All the Boyce families in Pontypridd seem to have come from Somerset areas.

We are still researching some exact family connections of Boyces.
Brothers , Cousins , Grandparents etc...
 Although i have a very extensive family tree of Boyce's.

i know from researching that this family of Garlands had a farm in the Milton Clevdon  or surrounding area as the Boyce families went there several times when younger to see relatives.

There are several Garland families in Lamyatt, East Pennard ,Evercreech areas and are listed on the 1881 census on the film 1341579

I think it's a different Garland Branch.  Mine all seem to be based around Yarlington, Somerset.  (Don't know that area - is that a long way from Evercreech?)

jUst looked at the online maps page below

yarlington is only about 10 km from evercreech and about 7km from ditcheat.
it is just above north cadbury where one of my relatives came from aswell.
think a bit more research is needed into these myself aswell.
I just recognised the name garland from my research.
