Mattocks family - help please!

Hi - I am looking up a relative's family tree and have hit upon a brick wall and a bit of a mystery.

My brick wall is I have gone as far as I can with the census returns and BMD records. I am looking for a marriage of George Mattocks, born 1811 in Carlisle to Elisabeth born 1796 in Whitehaven. Their first child was Jane Ann born 1839 in Aspatria. Also the birth and parents of George if poss.

The mystery is the family have some other children living with them on the 1841 & 51 censuses by the surname of Dixon. They are down as their children, so don't know if they are Elisabeth's from a previous marriage. They are:
John b. c1823
Elizabeth b.c1826
Margaret b.1829
Thomas b.1833, Hayton

Any help greatly appreciated!!

According to an extracted entry on the IGI George Mattocks married Elizabeth Dixon in Aspatria 27 Feb' 1837...

Thomas is there also 28 July 1833 Asperatia ,parent Elisabeth Dixon....I forgot to say Margarets Christening said only Elisabeth?
