Margaret Birdseye or Beardsly
« on: Wednesday 06 May 09 03:24 BST (UK) »
Hello,

In 1635 the ship "Planter" left England and there were 17-25 people with a blankct certificate from Adam Blakeman of St Albans church.  On this ship there was a Margaret Birdseye married to William Wilcockson.  This same ship had a William Beardsley and wife Marie Harvey.  There were no other Birdseye on this ship.

Now, the marriage of Beardsley and Harvey I have found thanks to this group.  My question...I believe this Margaret married to William Wilcockson's last name could be Beardsley.  These people next to each other in Boston and then went on to be the founders of Stratford, Connecticut, USA

I recently saw an article that this Margaret was from Reading which I suppose is possible.  Her father being John Birdseye.  She was born in 1611.  Can anyone guide on how to find this women.  Her and William Wilcockson had a son born in 1633 before sailing.

I appreciate any help or guidance.

Regards
Judy
