hi
i wonder if anyone can help me i am trying to locate my grandfathers grave but i am having no luck whatsoever
i know he died at home in new moston
his name ERNEST LEVI BAGLEY
died 1969 aged 79 (registered dec quarter)
i have tried all the local cemerties and they cant find anything for either a burial or even a cremation
has anyone else got any clues on how to locate it
i do know it was local as my mum did tell me that but where ?????????????

Hi Ann

Maybe this is a stupid question but :- have you tried Blackley Cemetery & Crematorium Tel.No. 0161 740 5359, I know they hold burial details of a few other sites.
As I live in Moston and if you do manage to locate it I will endeavour to get a photograph the headstone for you.

i have tried blackley who have checked all their 3 sites and nothing for either a burial or cremation, i have rang st josephs they have nothing i live in failsworth and i even drove all round moston on saturday looking for little churches with their own grave yards to check there records too, he lived on charlestown road i was 5 when he died in 1969 and i remember my parents going to the funeral and it was definately locally, unfortunately they have since died, i have even took today to writing to the local funeral directors to see if they dealt with it i am lost with this one totally  ???
have you any ideas where i can try ???????????

hi everyone mystery solved  :D

i finally soved the mystery this morning i went to county records and trawled through the papers and i found it  :D
he was cremated at blackley crem in october 1969 i even tried them first ha ha
